I am a graduate in Botany from Gauhati University (2015) and a post-graduate in Agricultural Biotechnology from Assam Agricultural University (2018). In the year 2016, I was selected to the Plant Pathology Department of Washington State University, Pullman, for a duration of 2.5 months, as a Khorana Program Scholar. I worked as a JRF for 2 years (2018-2020) at the Division of Microbiology, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi on the role of endophytic bacteria showing growth-promoting activities.
While my previous research was centered around plants, I was always intrigued by the human immune system and its interactions with the environment. I am highly excited to learn more in this area, by being a part of Dr. Jha’s lab.
Other than being a research enthusiast, I love listening to music, singing, above all I am a foodie who not only loves to explore food joints but also to cook.
